Build Innovative Food Processing Equipment with JBT Marel JBT Marel is looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you'll assemble industry-leading food processing equipment using mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. • Assemble mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components on food processing equipment. • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, work instructions, and bills of materials. • Perform equipment testing and troubleshooting to ensure products meet quality and performance standards. • Use hand tools, power tools, measurement tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively. • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts (training provided), and other shop equipment as needed. • Complete work within established labor standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. • Inspect your work for quality and make adjustments as needed to ensure equipment meets specifications. • Collaborate with engineering, production, and fellow team members to meet production goals. What We're Looking For
• High school diploma or GED preferred. • Previous manufacturing and/or mechanical assembly experience preferred. • Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics. • Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. • Basic computer skills with the ability to view drawings and work instructions. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Welding experience is a plus, but not required. • Experience with industrial controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo motors, cameras, or laser scanners is a plus. Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday. • Lift up to 50 pounds regularly. • Push and move carts and materials. • Work from ladders or elevated platforms when needed. • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with machinery, overhead cranes, forklifts, varying temperatures, and industrial noise.
