What You’ll Do:
• Process cattle: induction, re-handling, vaccinations, implants, ear tags, and weight recording
• Sort cattle for marketing and move them safely within the feedlot
• Maintain pens, equipment, and water bowls
• Follow all safety and standard operating procedures
• Communicate daily with feedlot manager, feed truck driver, and occasionally office staff or contractors
What We’re Looking For:
• Reliability, attention to detail, safety awareness, teamwork, initiative
• Cattle handling and herd health knowledge
• Basic computer skills and effective communication
Requirements:
• High school diploma (asset)
• Agriculture or feedlot experience (asset)
• Class 5 driver’s license
• Weekend availability
Working Conditions: Outdoor work in all weather, generally 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (hours may vary). Dress appropriately for conditions.
Benefits: Health, dental (100% paid by Kasko Cattle), disability, life insurance (after 3 months), pension plan (after 1 year) $22-$27 depending on experience
