About this role
WORSHIP ASSOCIATE
ONE LINE JOB DESCRIPTION: Lead worship from a heart that overflows with passion and love for Jesus while raising up the next generation of worship leaders.
Direct Supervisor: JACOB BOYD
Job Title: Worship Associate
This is a FULL-TIME POSITION - 40 HOURS A WEEK
THE ROLE
Cornerstone l is looking for an Associate Worship Leader whose primary responsibility is leading worship at Salt Company — planning, leading, and pastoring the room for our college-age gathering each week. Beyond that primary context, this person carries the same expectations as every member of our team: developing others, growing in skill, and living out the identity and commitments that shape how we serve.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading at Salt Company
• Plan and lead worship for Salt Company on a weekly basis, working closely with the team serving alongside you.
• Pastor the room, not just lead it — Salt Company is a distinct context (college-age, high-energy, high-volume), and this role means understanding and shepherding what that specific room needs.
• Collaborate with production and other team members to ensure Salt Company’s expression of worship reflects Cornerstone Worship’s broader vision while fitting its own context well.
General Expectations (Every Member of Our Team)
• Be a developer. We are all the product of someone who poured into us. Whether relationally or in skill, look for real opportunities to invest in the volunteers and leaders around you — this isn’t optional or separate from the role, it’s part of what it means to be on this team.
• Love our church. Be a consistent, engaged part of Cornerstone — not just present for the contexts you serve in. You are part of the body of Christ here, not just this team.
• Grow your technical skill set. Own your own development. Ask how you can get better, seek feedback, and put it to work.
• Support the vision and values of Cornerstone Worship. Internalize the “why” behind this ministry well enough that it shapes your decisions, and hold the same identity we ask of everyone here — rooted, not fragile; ambitious, not passive; servants, not performers.
CORNERSTONE STAFF VALUES & QUALITIES

CORNERSTONE CHURCH MEMBERSHIP
By joining the Cornerstone Staff team, you and your spouse (if applicable) are automatically approved as members of Cornerstone Church. As members you are under the leadership of our elders and we will expect and inspect your faithfulness in attending, serving, giving, and living.
JOB EVALUATION
Your Job Description will be the basis of regular evaluation and coaching. Your direct supervisor will inspect what they expect from you as an employee.
