Role Overview: Atlanta Beltline, Inc. is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Human Resources Intern to join our Human Resources team. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of HR, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee experience, HR technology, performance management support, organizational development, and HR operations.

The HR Intern will work closely with HR leadership on meaningful projects that directly impact employees and organizational effectiveness while gaining exposure to the practical application of Human Resources in a dynamic business environment.

This role is designed for students interested in developing a strong foundation for a career in Human Resources. In addition to day-to-day HR experience, the intern will receive professional mentorship, exposure to HR best practices, and opportunities to build knowledge aligned with future SHRM-CP certification preparation and professional development goals.

The Human Resources Intern will promote the Vision, Mission, and Core Values of ABI while fostering a collegial work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with recruitment activities, including posting positions, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates.

• Support onboarding initiatives by preparing new hire materials, coordinating orientation activities, and tracking onboarding completion.

• Assist with HR reporting, audits, data validation, and administrative processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Support employee engagement, recognition, wellness, and culture-building initiatives.

• Assist with maintaining project plans, departmental trackers, and workflows utilizing systems such as Asana.

• Support the creation and updating of training resources, standard operating procedures, and internal HR documentation.

• Provide general administrative and project support to HR leadership and team members while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's or Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, Management, or a related field.

• Minimum one (1) year of work experience in a professional, customer service, administrative, campus employment, or office environment.

• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to quickly learn new software platforms; Asana project management is highly preferred.

• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.

Preferred:

• Prior internship, campus leadership, or project management experience.

• Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), applicant tracking systems, or project management software.

• Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Talent Acquisition, or Employee Experience.
