About this role
Role Description
Scopely is looking for a Senior Director of Publishing Production to join an unannounced game team remotely in the United States.
As Senior Director of Production, you will lead Publishing Production for one of Scopely's newest mobile titles. Reporting to the VP of Production, you'll sit at the intersection of Publishing, Development, and Marketing, ensuring ambitious ideas become exceptional player experiences through operational excellence, clear execution, and trusted cross-functional partnerships.
This role is ideal for a production leader who enjoys turning strategy into action, thrives in complex cross-functional environments, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to solve difficult execution challenges while continuously improving how teams work together.
Lead Publishing Production for the project, translating strategic priorities into coordinated execution across Development, Marketing, Licensing, Live Operations, and Publishing teams. Serve as the primary operational bridge between Development and Publishing, ensuring product roadmaps, marketing campaigns, licensing initiatives, and player-facing moments remain aligned from planning through execution. Drive end-to-end execution of major publishing initiatives, including soft launch, global launch, integrated marketing campaigns, licensed IP activations, community moments, and other high-impact player experiences. Translate strategic direction into actionable execution by establishing clear ownership, priorities, planning frameworks, and decision-making rhythms that enable teams to move quickly and confidently. Build trusted partnerships across Product, Development, Marketing, Community, User Acquisition, CRM, Customer Experience, and external partners, aligning diverse teams around shared objectives while navigating competing priorities and dependencies. Balance immediate execution with long-term operational excellence by stepping directly into complex production challenges, removing blockers, and continuously improving the systems, processes, and ways of working behind them. Partner closely with Live Operations, Release Management, and Development teams to ensure publishing priorities are fully integrated into release schedules and operational readiness, while maintaining clear ownership across organizations. Provide meaningful production visibility to senior leadership through clear communication, risk management, health reporting, and actionable recommendations that support informed decision-making. Lead and develop a growing Publishing Production function, establishing high standards for execution, collaboration, and accountability while creating an environment where producers can operate with increasing autonomy.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience leading Production, Publishing Production, or Program Management within a mobile live-service game, partnering closely with both Development and Publishing organizations. Proven experience delivering complex cross-functional publishing initiatives, including product launches, integrated marketing campaigns, licensing or external partnerships, and large-scale player-facing experiences. Deep understanding of mobile game development and publishing, including the operational complexity, release cadence, and planning required to support successful live-service games. Demonstrated ability to translate strategic priorities into clear execution plans while remaining hands-on enough to remove blockers, resolve ambiguity, and keep teams moving forward. Experience influencing peers and senior leaders to drive alignment across multiple organizations without relying on direct authority. Proven ability to establish scalable production practices, governance, and planning processes that improve execution quality, predictability, and organizational effectiveness. Experience leading and developing producers or production leaders while fostering ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. Strong judgment balancing player experience, development realities, publishing priorities, operational risk, and business objectives in a fast-moving environment. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging and build alignment across technical, creative, and business audiences.
Requirements
Experience shipping or operating successful mobile free-to-play games. Experience working with licensed IPs and complex external partnerships. Experience supporting games through soft launch, global launch, and long-term live operations. Experience working with co-development studios or globally distributed development teams. Experience partnering closely with Marketing, User Acquisition, CRM, Community, or Customer Experience organizations. Experience with release management, incident management, or operational readiness for large-scale live games.
