Job summary
We are looking for a caring, motivated and enthusiastic Treatment Room Nurse to join our friendly and supportive GP practice team. This is a varied and rewarding role, providing high-quality nursing care to our patients, including wound care, vaccinations, injections, health checks and other treatment room services.
Hours will be 26hrs per week.

Main duties of the job
The Treatment Room Nurse will provide a range of nursing services to our patient population, working both independently and as part of the wider clinical team. Key responsibilities will include wound care and dressings, vaccinations and immunisations, injections, health checks, blood pressure monitoring, ECGs, suture and clip removal, and supporting patients with ongoing health needs.
The role will involve managing your own treatment room clinics, maintaining accurate clinical records, following infection prevention and safeguarding procedures, and working closely with GPs, nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive safe, effective and compassionate care.

Job Purpose
The Treatment Room Nurse will work as an integral member of the practice nursing and wider multidisciplinary team, providing safe, effective and patient-centred nursing care to the practice population.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering a range of treatment room services, supporting the management of patients with both acute and ongoing healthcare needs and promoting health and wellbeing wherever appropriate.
The post holder will work within their professional competence and in accordance with current NMC standards, practice policies and relevant national guidance.
Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesClinical CareThe post holder will undertake treatment room duties appropriate to their level of competence and training, which may include:
Wound assessment, management and dressingsRemoval of sutures and clipsAdministration of medications and injectionsVaccinations and immunisations in accordance with relevant protocols and Patient Group DirectionsBlood pressure monitoringECG recordingUrinalysis and specimen collectionRoutine health checks and observationsNHS Health Checks, where appropriately trainedEar care, where appropriately trainedSupporting seasonal vaccination programmes, including influenza and COVID-19Providing appropriate health promotion and lifestyle adviceRecognising changes or deterioration in a patient's condition and escalating appropriatelyProviding patients and carers with appropriate information, advice and supportMaintaining clear, accurate and contemporaneous patient records using the practice clinical systemInfection Prevention and ControlThe post holder will:
