An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time research nurse in the Yorkshire Quality and Safety Research Group at the Bradford Institute for Health Research, based at the BRI. The post-holder will work within a supportive team, training will be provided and there will be plenty of opportunity for learning and development, both through the experience gained whilst on the job and also from visiting and working with other Trusts on patient safety studies.

The post-holder will work within the Quality and Safety team and support the delivery of research trial portfolios as required. This will primarily involve working on the Safe Administration of Medicines (SAM-I) programme of research [ See: https://yqsr.org/our-research-programmes/sam_i/]

The post-holder must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and good organisational skills. Current study sites are located across Yorkshire and Northern England, but new sites may come on board that are further afield. It is therefore essential that the successful applicant is willing and able to travel frequently.

Main duties of the job

The post involves working within a very supportive and experienced research nurse/AHP team based at Bradford. Training and mentoring will be provided in recruitment, data collection, accurate documentation and liaising with / providing training for other research nurses/AHPs across sites.

Summary of most important Experience/Skills/Qualifications required:

Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training is required as an essential element of this role; the YQSR team are able to offer support and guidance to the successful applicant for them to achieve this. Enhanced communication skills and excellent record keeping is also a requirement.
