Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer – Mechanical to support project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Refinery projects in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in mechanical construction, maintenance, shutdown and turnaround projects , with the ability to develop and monitor project schedules and coordinate effectively with site, engineering, procurement, and subcontractor teams. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for mechanical construction, maintenance, shutdown, and turnaround activities. Prepare baseline schedules, look-ahead schedules, recovery schedules, and progress updates . Monitor actual project progress against planned schedules and identify delays, critical activities, and potential risks. Coordinate with Site Execution, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC, and HSE teams to ensure timely project execution. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and planning dashboards . Track manpower, equipment, materials, productivity, and resource requirements. Analyze project performance and provide recommendations for schedule recovery and corrective actions . Monitor critical path activities and ensure timely completion of project milestones. Prepare progress measurement and quantity tracking for mechanical activities. Support preparation of S-curves, progress curves, histograms, and productivity reports . Coordinate with subcontractors and monitor their progress against approved schedules. Assist in identifying schedule risks, delays, and potential extension-of-time impacts . Participate in project progress meetings and provide accurate planning updates to management and clients. Ensure planning and reporting activities comply with project requirements and client standards.
