Role Purpose: The purpose of this role is to support organizational effectiveness in Dye House and Laboratory by managing end-to-end training, development, and people-related initiatives while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards. The role is responsible for identifying manpower and skill requirements, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and designing structured training programs in Dye House and Laboratory to build employee competence and multi-skilling. It ensures continuous performance monitoring through evaluations, skill assessments, and refresher training to drive productivity and quality improvement. The position also plays a key role in promoting a strong safety culture, maintaining industrial discipline, and fostering positive employee relations. Through close coordination with HR and departmental managers, the role contributes to workforce capability development, operational excellence, and a sustainable learning environment across the organization. Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities Work as Technical pillar for training and development in Dye House and Laboratory Operations Liaise with the HR department to identify manpower requirements and actively participate in the recruitment process, including defining minimum qualifications, conducting interviews, supporting candidate selection, and facilitating onboarding. Design and develop comprehensive training manuals aligned with organizational needs and operational requirements. Plan and schedule one-day orientation programs for newly onboarded employees. Develop and deliver safety and technical training programs for newly joined employees based on their job roles, followed by evaluation and assessment upon completion. Prepare and implement half-yearly training programs for existing employees by conducting Training Needs Assessments (TNA) covering safety, SOPs, and technical competencies using standardized questionnaires; evaluate effectiveness and maintain individual skill record cards, ensuring competency achievement through retraining and re-evaluation where required. Monitor and review departmental performance through structured evaluations in coordination with line managers. Promote and maintain discipline, orderliness, and a positive work culture across departments. Foster cordial industrial relations and encourage harmonious employee–management relationships. Promote effective and transparent communication across all sections and departments. Develop, implement, and monitor safe work practices in compliance with applicable Health and Safety legislation across all wet process floors. Monitor and control employee absenteeism in coordination with departmental heads. Motivate employees to contribute valuable suggestions aimed at improving quality, productivity, and workplace safety. Evaluate employee performance and complete periodic appraisal documentation accurately and timely. Upon completion of training, conduct performance reviews of trainees in coordination with Department Managers, IE Managers, and HR Managers for final assessment. Prepare, maintain, and regularly update multi-skill matrices for each department in coordination with departmental managers to support workforce flexibility and training planning. Identify underperforming employees in terms of quality or productivity and arrange refresher training programs based on recommendations from respective department heads. Observe and monitor behaviour-based safety practices among employees on the shop floor to reinforce a strong safety culture. Organize and manage the Training and Development Centre to support continuous learning initiatives. Education, Qualifications and Experience (Include skills and competencies required to perform the role competently) Experience A graduate in Textile Technology / Chemical Engineering / M. Sc. in Chemistry Minimum of 4-6 years working experience in equivalent environment. Knowledge and understanding of: Colour Physics – Level 2 Different types of Coats threads Knowledge in Dye House and Laboratory Operations Knowledge on departmental KPIs Coats global dyeing programs, TaRA & Redlines All departmental SOPs & WIs Dyeing variables and their impact on laboratory and dyehouse performance Health and Safety SOP and PPE requirements for different chemicals and lab equipment 5S Housekeeping principles Skills & Abilities Team leadership capability Time management skills Train-the trainer capability Excellent communication skills, proficient in English High level of attention to detail Results oriented Highly developed analytical skills Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools LSS GB
