About this role
Primary Purpose: Provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the campus office. Maintain accurate attendance records for the campus. Qualifications: Education/Certification: High school or GED Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records Ability to use personal computer and software to develop or maintain spreadsheets and databases Proficient word processing and file maintenance skills Knowledge of basic accounting principles Ability to follow written instructions Ability to operate multi-line phone system Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience: Three years clerical experience preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties: Reception and Phones
• Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
• Greet and direct campus visitors.
• Assist parents in checking students in and out of school.
• Assist with the receipt and distribution of student materials, including homework and AEP work requests.
• Maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes.
Attendance
• Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data into established database and verify accuracy of according to established procedures.
• Prepare and print attendance reports.
• Call parents to verify student absences as needed.
• Report all attendance problems to designated administrator.
Other
• Maintain computerized files using personal computer, including student discipline records.
• Provide clerical assistance as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Equipment Used: Personal computer, printer, calculator, copier, fax machine, and shredder. Working Conditions: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress. Repetitive hand motions, prolonged use of computer.
