A Local or State Substitute Teaching Certificate is required. Local Substitute Teaching Certificate:
• Valid for 5 years
• Limited to 90 days of Substitute Teaching
State Substitute Teaching Certificate:
• Valid for 5 years
• Requires completion of an educator preparation program
• Unlimited number of days of teaching
