Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD Position Opening Transportation Mechanic Education/Certification
• Valid Texas Commercial Drivers License (Must have CDL or be able to obtain CDL)
• At Least a High School Diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills
• Possess mechanical aptitude to effectively inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical defects in vehicles and other power equipment
• Possess ability to perform minor body repairs
Experience Three years mechanic experience preferred Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
• Continual walking and standing; frequent heavy lifting and carrying; climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching
• Ability to operate power and hand tools
• Work outside and inside
• Exposed to extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, and odors
• Exposed to mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards
• Work around moving objects and vehicles
