About this role

Third Future Schools is a high-achieving and growing network of public schools. The Dean of Discipline supports a safe, orderly, and academically focused school environment by ensuring consistent implementation of student behavior expectations, discipline systems, attendance supports, and campus routines. The Dean of Discipline works closely with the principal, assistant principal(s), teachers, students, and families to protect instructional time, strengthen student accountability, and maintain a positive school culture. The Dean of Discipline is supervised by the principal. Primary Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce schoolwide behavior and discipline expectations.

• Respond promptly to student discipline concerns and behavioral incidents.

• Maintain accurate documentation of discipline referrals, interventions, consequences, and parent communication.

• Maintain a visible leadership presence during arrival, dismissal, transitions, lunch, and other high-traffic periods.

• Support teachers with classroom management, student redirection, and behavior interventions.

• Monitor discipline trends and identify students requiring additional behavioral support.

• Conduct student and parent conferences related to behavior, attendance, and student accountability.

• Support attendance systems, including monitoring tardiness, absenteeism, and chronic attendance concerns.

• Ensure students return to instruction as quickly as appropriate following behavioral interventions.

• Collaborate with counselors, teachers, special education staff, and administrators to develop student support plans.

• Support campus safety procedures and respond to student or staff safety concerns.

• Participate in campus leadership meetings, huddles, and other administrative responsibilities.

• Use student behavior and attendance data to recommend campus-level actions and improvements.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the principal.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Minimum of three years of experience in education, student services, school leadership, behavior management, or a related field.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families.

• Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to maintain high expectations while building positive relationships with students.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced school environment.

• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

• Citizenship, residency, or work authorization required.

Position Type: Full-Time Salary: $80,000 Per Year
