About this role

Our client, P & L Carpentry Limited, based in Trim, Co. Meath, is currently seeking a Joiner – Workshop Manager for immediate start at their facility in Trim, Co. Meath. Key Responsibilities and Duties: - Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the joinery workshop. - Lead, supervise, and support a team of joiners and workshop staff, ensuring productivity and quality standards are consistently achieved. - Produce bespoke furniture and joinery items in line with project specifications and technical drawings. - Plan, schedule, and coordinate workshop production to meet project deadlines and client requirements. - Read and interpret detailed technical drawings and specifications, providing guidance to the workshop team as required. - Construct high-quality wooden components such as stairs, doors, door and window frames, and bespoke furniture items. - Operate and oversee the safe use of woodworking machinery, CNC equipment, hand tools, and power tools. - Work with a wide range of materials including hardwood, softwood, MDF, veneers, and laminates. - Ensure all finished products meet required quality, design, and safety standards before dispatch or installation. - Monitor stock levels, materials usage, and waste, supporting efficient workshop operations. - Enforce health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised, and compliant workshop environment. - Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop, including process improvements and skills development Requirements: - Proven experience and technical ability to carry out all joinery duties listed above. - Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as a Joiner, with demonstrated experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment. - Previous experience in a supervisory, lead joiner, or workshop management role is highly desirable. - Strong knowledge of woodworking machinery, tools, CNC equipment, and modern joinery techniques. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. - Experience working in a large factory or workshop with high-quality and/or high-volume output. - Background in bespoke joinery, furniture manufacture, or joinery fit-out projects. - Strong organisational, problem-solving, and leadership skills. - Commitment to exceptional craftsmanship, quality control, and health & safety standards. - Relevant trade certification or qualification is advantageous but not essential. Annual Remuneration: €65,000.00; Pay rate €28.41 per hour Work Location: P & L Carpentry Limited, 18 Oaktree Business Park, Trim, Co. Meath, C15 XA03.
