Green Powered Systems is expanding, and we are looking for an experienced Solar PV Roofer/Carpenter to join our team in Westmeath, Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled carpenter with roofing experience to develop specialist expertise in the fast-growing solar PV industry. The successful candidate will work on domestic, commercial and agricultural solar installation projects. Responsibilities Carry out carpentry and roof-preparation work required for solar PV installations. Install, mount and secure solar PV panels and supporting systems on domestic, commercial and agricultural roofs. Assess roof structures and determine appropriate fixing and mounting methods. Measure, cut, fit and secure timber and other construction materials where required. Work alongside electricians and other installers to complete projects safely and efficiently. Ensure all installations meet the required technical, quality and safety standards. Inspect completed work and identify or correct installation issues. Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and orderly condition. Communicate professionally with customers and explain the installation process when required. Follow all company procedures and health and safety requirements, particularly when working at heights. Essential Requirements A minimum of three years’ relevant carpentry and roofing experience. Strong practical carpentry skills are essential. Experience working safely on pitched and flat roofs. Ability and confidence to work at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Full, clean driving licence. Ability to read measurements, follow technical instructions and complete work accurately. Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work effectively as part of a team. Previous experience installing solar PV systems is desirable but not essential, as role-specific training will be provided. What We Offer Minimum annual salary of €36,605, depending on experience. Full-time, permanent employment for 39 hours per week. Practical training in solar PV installation. Ongoing professional and technical development.
