Join Our Team – Work Outdoors, Meet People & Help Keep Ballycotton’s Pitch & Putt Course Looking Its Best! We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and practical person to join our team as a Pitch & Putt Course Attendant. This is a varied and rewarding outdoor role where no two days need to be the same. You will help look after the day-to-day running of the Ballycotton Pitch & Putt Course, welcome visitors, assist players and take pride in keeping the course attractive, well-maintained and safe for everyone to enjoy. The role would suit someone who enjoys working outdoors, meeting people, being active and seeing the results of their work. You will receive support and guidance while developing valuable skills in customer service, grounds maintenance, health and safety and general facility upkeep. What You’ll Be Doing As part of the team, your duties will include: Welcoming visitors and players and providing a friendly and helpful service Collecting course fees and carrying out basic cash-handling duties Hiring out clubs, balls and other equipment to visitors Helping to ensure the course is clean, tidy, attractive and ready for use Carrying out a range of outdoor grounds maintenance, including: Grass cutting Strimming Weeding Spraying, where appropriate and in accordance with relevant safety procedures Hedge cutting Helping to maintain and improve greens, pathways, fencing and signage Carrying out general upkeep such as painting, minor repairs and maintenance Regularly checking the course and identifying any hazards, damage or maintenance requirements Reporting any safety concerns or issues promptly Following appropriate health and safety procedures to help provide a safe environment for visitors and staff Working as part of a team to ensure the course remains a welcoming and enjoyable facility for the local community and visitors What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Reliable, responsible and enthusiastic Friendly and comfortable interacting with members of the public Happy working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions Practical and willing to learn new skills Able to work independently while also being a positive team member Interested in grounds maintenance, gardening, outdoor work or general maintenance Safety-conscious and willing to follow instructions and procedures Organised and able to take pride in maintaining a high standard of work Previous experience in grounds maintenance, gardening, pitch & putt, golf or general maintenance would be an advantage, but is not essential. A willingness to learn and a positive attitude are more important.
