Job SummaryAbout the Position: This position serves as a Food Service Worker within the Mat Sinking Unit. Incumbent is responsible for performing a variety of food service worker duties, either regularly or on a rotating basis. *The duty location will be wherever the Mat Sinking Unit is located. *This position is a Permanent, Full-Time, Seasonal Appointment.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Food Service Worker~ without more than normal supervision. Duties include: Cleaning equipment assigned to the work area for food preparation, operating equipment assigned to the area for food preparation, breaking down equipment assigned to the area for food preparation. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Do The Work Of The position Without More Than Normal Supervision Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Dexterity and Safety Knowledge of Materials Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Work Practices Physical Effort: Work frequently requires lifting, bending, and moving objects weighing up to 45 lbs. Constantly standing and walking is required. Working Conditions: Workers are exposed to minor cuts, bruises, burns, and scraps; exposed to dirt, grease and water in cleaning tasks. There is danger of slipping on floors which are wet from daily mopping or where food or beverage has been dropped. Some workers are exposed to extreme temperatures of the hot kitchen and the walk-in refrigerator.
Major DutiesServe food and beverages as well as prepare simple food and assist in food preparation, as instructed.Set and wait on tables.Portion and serve food.Wash dishes, pots, pans, glasses and silverware.Unload and store food.Sweep, wash, mop and buff floors in assigned areas such as: kitchen, dining area and living quarters.Attend food counters.
