QualificationsIn addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Monitoring day-to-day and long-term operations reviewing project programming and execution efforts, and overseeing facilities construction, maintenance, and repair projects. Major DutiesYou will plan, direct, control, and coordinate all functions of the Programming and Execution (PE) Unit.You will develop new operating concepts and methods in order to meet the organization's goals and objectives.You will act as the main consultant to the Asset Management Director, the Deputy Public Works Officer, and the Public Works officer on military construction, host nation financed construction, and facility sustainment, restoration, and modernization.You will establish priorities, provide guidance, evaluate performance, resolve conflicts, and determine training needs for all personnel in the PE Unit.You will solve management-employee problems and resolve grievances.You will plan and schedule work assignments within the schedules and priorities assigned by programmatic guidance.You will review organizational policy, standard operating procedures, orders, and work methods, making changes and modifications as necessary.You will evaluate components/processes within the PE Unit for weaknesses and inefficiencies and develop means to enhance the performance of the PE Unit, ensuring customer needs are met.
