Job SummaryYou will serve as a TRAINING TECHNICIAN in the SURFCOMSYSTRNCMD SAN DIEGO.

QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing student lifecycle and training pipeline records in automated military or educational databases (such as CeTARS, FLTMPS, NSIPS, or comparable training management systems), including processing gains, enrollments, setbacks, disenrollments, reclassifications, holds, and graduations; 2) Providing administrative and personnel customer support, including verifying student musters, processing leave requests, coordinating reporting documentation, and explaining basic military pay, travel, or entitlement procedures; 3) Generating recurring or ad-hoc reports (such as class rosters, hold reports, and student man-hour metrics) to support academic planning and operational decision-making; and 4) Safeguarding sensitive data and records by applying privacy policies, Personally Identifiable Information (PII) standards, and records management procedures in accordance with governing directives. Major DutiesYou will provide a full range of clerical and administrative services and customer service supporting students, to include general administration, office automation, and clerical support.You will assist in the development, verification and coordination of student mustering, working with military to obtain needed input.You will review outgoing correspondence, messages and enlisted evaluations to ensure timely reply/submission and adherence to procedures and policies.You will maintain Personally Identifiable Information (PII) standards for all documentations, to include disposal.You will act as a Command Pay and Personnel Administrator (CPPA), command liaison to all servicing Personnel Support Detachments (PSDs) for students’ major concern/issues/problems on all pay and personnel matters, ensuring effective resolution.You will utilizes various systems such as BUPERS (Bureau of Naval Personnel) Online, Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System, Fleet Training Management and Planning Systems, Corporate Enterprise Training Activity Resource Systems, and Salesforce.You will provide technical assistance and counseling to officer and enlisted personnel concerning advancements, housing allowances, officer/enlisted programs, statement of service, per diem, lodging entitlements, etc.You will perform various administrative and clerical functions in support of the command’s Educational Services Officer.
