Job SummaryThis position is part of the Department of War (DoW), Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The incumbent will be responsible for the alignment and traceability of program requirements, budget exhibits, and agency financial execution structure.

QualificationsYou may qualify at the NH-03 Broadband Level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below and must meet 2 of the 3 specialized experience listed below to be qualified: Applying the DoW Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE), fiscal law, policies, regulations, principles, standards and procedures to financial management activities. Experience in financial management execution (Spend Plans, Funding Documents, Multiple Appropriations, and trends). Identifying, analyzing, and resolving financial management issues by determining alternate solutions to problems and recommending solutions to leadership. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Major DutiesThis is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Acq Demo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. As a Budget Analyst at the NH-0560-3 broadband level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Ensures the strategic alignment and end-to-end traceability of program requirements, formal budget exhibits, and complex agency financial execution structures to guarantee audit readiness and regulatory compliance. Maintains Establishes robust, defensible audit trails and orchestrates the seamless reallocation of funding within the agency's financial structure using standardized, compliant processes. Collaborates closely with technical and acquisition leads to secure formal approvals for complex acquisition and execution strategies governing critical funding documents. Formulates and manages comprehensive spend plans and financial allocations, ensuring the successful execution of program work scopes within established fiscal guidelines. Generates detailed financial reports and conducts advanced assessments of execution status, tracking trends, diagnosing root causes, and implementing decisive corrective actions.
