Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Basic Requirement for General Natural Resources Management & Biological Sciences Series, 0401 A. Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.In addition to meeting the basic requirement above to qualify for this position, you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Implementing a variety of natural resource management programs for protection of service area(s) and project facilities; 2) Reviewing requests for leases, licenses, and/or special use permits; 3) Coordinating the management of a variety of facilities and programs, including recreation, environmental stewardship and flood risk management; and 4) Creating and monitoring progress plans for equipment and resource needs for successful project operation and maintenance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Major DutiesPerform staff oversight in the preparation of various planning documents.Coordinate and cooperate with other agencies, groups, individuals, and other District elements in various aspects of these programs.Assist with budget administration and planning.Provide first-line supervision and oversight of wage grade and general schedule employees.Direct, plan, and oversee construction for the rehabilitation of campsites, picnic sites, roads, and associated structures in the recreation areas.
