Job SummaryYou will serve as an Engineer in the AN/SPY-1 Radar Engineering Branch, Surface Combatant Radar Division, Sensors Weapons and Launchers Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER Port Hueneme Division.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 (GS-09/11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer providing electronics engineering expertise and guidance on the design, configuration, testing, and evaluation of shipboard combat systems to identify and resolve system issues for warfare engineering projects. Major DutiesYou will provide engineering services and accomplish complex project oriented tasks in support of Weapon Systems and/or Combat Systems on US and allied ships.You will provide on-site engineering expertise, technical/consultative services, and training during design, development, fabrication, delivery and life cycle of assigned systems and equipment.You will conduct research and comprehensive design studies to develop engineering solutions in response of fleet materiel needs.You will prepare, review and modify or update technical documentation relative to all phases of life cycle support.You will plan, organize, and coordinate in-service Weapon Systems and/or Combat Systems support.You will investigate, track, and coordinate resolution of system issues and provide evaluation of and solution to fleet problems.
