Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 3 out of 4 of the following: Providing guidance to senior leadership on workforce management; OR developing short and long range staffing plans; OR managing the full lifecycle of talent acquisition and personnel action processes; OR serving as project lead for Human Resource initiatives. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Major DutiesAdvise the District Commander and staff regarding staffing requirements, workforce resources, program objectives and problems.Coordinate staffing actions based on priorities, selective consideration to the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities or resources available.Review organizational requirements and/or conduct studies relating to: turnover; mission and technology to identify staffing trends; anticipated vacancies; and retention deficiencies to develop short- and long-range staffing requirements and plans.Identify needs for and initiate special projects and studies, such as succession planning, workforce analysis, and planning initiatives.Coordinates personnel actions with supervisors and managers, including initiating, monitoring and tracking personnel action requests using automated human resource systems.Serves as primary liaison between management and CHRSC for all District classification and position management actions.
