Job SummaryYou will serve as a Manager in the Software Engineering Branch of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA. The salary range above represents all of the position within this band, equivalent to the GS-14/15 level. The salary for this position may be limited to a GS-14 Step 10 (currently 1550: $183,782 / 0801: $196,954).

QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12/13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Combat Systems Software development and/or systems engineering experience with Navy systems. Examples of relevant experience include 1) ability to develop and lead and/or supervise subordinate subject matter experts; 2) strong communication and organization skills; and 3) Strong problem solving and collaboration skills across multiple organizations. Major DutiesYou will serve as a Branch Manager within the Theater Undersea Warfare Engineering division/You will provide management and leadership experience to a software development workforce toward the planning, implementation, and execution of technical projects and programs within the Division.You will lead and communicate status and issues associated with software development to other organizations, and manage engineers, scientists, and other personnel in such functions as software development and system test.You will manage workforce shaping strategies considering existing and future work profiles, customers, and requirements ensuring sufficient technical skills and capacity for internally and externally assigned work.You will develop effective contractor support strategies, and manage contractor support proving feedback on contractor services through the appropriate processes.
