You will work from measurements and basic fabrication instructions to produce accurate, high-quality parts and assemblies using presses and other fabrication equipment.Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on mild steel components to produce strong, clean, and consistent welds. • Fabricate mild steel parts and assemblies according to specifications and job requirements. • Use a tape measure accurately to take precise measurements and verify dimensions during fabrication. • Operate fabrication equipment such as presses and related tools to form and shape steel components. • Read and follow basic fabrication instructions and, where applicable, blueprints to complete jobs correctly. • Fit and assemble parts prior to welding to ensure proper alignment and fit-up. • Inspect finished welds and fabricated parts for quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications. • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures in the fabrication shop. • Collaborate with team members and accept training on new equipment and fabrication processes as needed. Essential Skills

• Hands-on MIG welding experience with mild steel. • Ability to fabricate mild steel components using standard fabrication tools and equipment. • Proficiency in using a tape measure accurately for layout and verification of dimensions. • Experience operating basic fabrication equipment such as presses. • Ability to perform fitting work, including aligning and assembling parts before welding. • Basic ability to read and follow fabrication instructions, with exposure to blueprints considered beneficial. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on welding and fabrication experience, or completion of a welding or fabrication program plus 6 months of experience. • Blueprint reading skills are a plus. • Knowledge of additional fabrication equipment beyond presses is a plus. • Willingness to learn and cross-train on different aspects of fabrication. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
