This role focuses on identifying defects, verifying that parts meet specifications, and determining whether components are ready to move to the next stage of processing, without performing troubleshooting or using specialized inspection software.Responsibilities

• Visually inspect machine parts to identify defects and nonconformities according to established standards. • Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision inspection tools to measure and verify part dimensions. • Perform CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) inspections to confirm that components meet required specifications. • Review parts to determine whether they are ready to be processed to the next step in production. • Accurately document inspection results and part status using computers and internal systems. • Handle and position parts safely using hand tools and hand power tools as needed for inspection. • Support quality inspection processes in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized inspection area. • Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure timely flow of inspected parts. • Assist with basic calibration checks of inspection tools as required. Essential Skills

• Recent experience working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment within the last 18 months. • Hands-on experience with mechanical inspection of parts and components. • Proficiency with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) inspection. • Ability to perform precise measurements using micrometers, calipers, and height gauges. • Strong visual inspection skills to identify defects and irregularities. • Basic computer literacy to enter, track, and update inspection data. • High attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and documentation. • Familiarity with general inspection tools and hand tools used in manufacturing. • Understanding of quality inspection practices in an industrial setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience using gauges and other precision measuring instruments. • Exposure to quality inspection processes in heavy industrial environments. • Forklift experience is a plus. • Crane operation experience is a plus. • Comfort working with hand power tools during inspection tasks. • Ability to follow written procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines. • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple parts and tasks in sequence. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
