Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Warwick Role: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Warwick, CV34 6TE (with the option to work from home up to 2 days a week, once you've settled into the role) Hours: 37 hours per week | between 08:00 and 16:30 Monday to Thursday, and 08:00-13:00 Friday Salary: between £45,000 and £60,000 pa DOE We're looking for an experienced and practical engineer to join our Chassis Team, playing a key role in the design and development of the next generation of market-leading products. This opportunity is ideally suited to someone with significant experience in a commercial engineering environment who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, contributing to innovative product development, and sharing knowledge within a collaborative team. What we're looking for: - Degree (MEng/BEng), HNC/HND, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline - Significant experience in mechanical design engineering within an automotive or similar engineering environment, ideally gained working on complex engineering products or systems throughout the product lifecycle from concept through to production - Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, including materials, stress, fatigue, and design principles - Experience using CAD (Solid Edge desirable) and producing engineering drawings to recognised standards (e.g. BS8888) - Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacture/assembly - Experience working across the product lifecycle, from concept through to production support - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage your own workload effectively - Good communication skills and a collaborative working style What will help you stand out: - Experience working on complex assemblies or vehicle systems - Confidence working independently whilst still engaging effectively with the wider team - A proactive approach to improving designs and ways ...
