THE POSITION As a 2nd Engineer, you are responsible for the condition and maintenance of the technical installations on board our offshore installation vessels, such as the Nexus, Calypso, and Aeolus. You work in a 12-hour rotation and report to the Chief Engineer to maintain and optimize the technical systems on board. YOUR IMPACT As a 2nd Engineer, you are responsible for preparing, planning, and executing specific maintenance projects. This includes: - Maintaining, optimizing, and improving the engine room and technical systems in close collaboration with the Chief Engineer. - Carrying out regular maintenance and repairs on technical installations to ensure optimal performance. - Instructing, organizing, supervising, and motivating assigned crew members. - Contributing to a positive working atmosphere and the development of the crew. - Maintaining ship administration in accordance with Van Oord standards. - Preparing, planning, and executing specific maintenance projects as a Day Engineer.
