Teach Tearmainn is recruiting 2 x Children’s Support Workers to join our Children’s Service in County Kildare. This is a varied role combining one-to-one support for children affected by domestic violence and abuse with childcare, activities, group programmes, refuge support and community-based children’s work. The successful candidate will support the delivery of our established children’s programmes, including one-to-one support, child supervision, while also contributing to homework clubs, after-school activities, holiday programmes and summer camps. The role also includes supporting the day-to-day operation of our Refuge, responding to helpline calls, group programmes such as TLC Kidz and supporting women and children accessing our services. We are looking for an experienced, child-centred and highly professional individual who can build positive relationships with children while maintaining strong professional boundaries, confidentiality and clear awareness of the scope and limitations of the role. A minimum Level 7 or 8 qualification in a relevant discipline and at least three years’ experience working directly with children and/or young people in a community-based setting are essential.
