Export Control Agent Export Control & Trade Compliance Officer - 6 months Temporary mission About the Role A leading global industrial group is looking for an Export Control & Trade Compliance Officer to join its dedicated Export Control and Compliance team. Based at the European headquarters in Luxembourg, this role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in export controls, international sanctions, and trade compliance within a global business environment. You will work closely with colleagues across Europe and Japan, supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of export control and compliance processes while helping ensure compliance with applicable international regulations and internal policies. Key Responsibilitie • Support customer and business partner screening, including the review of Customer Check Lists and supporting documentation. • Liaise with European affiliates to collect, verify, and consolidate information required for export control reviews. • Assist with due diligence activities and compliance-related assessments. • Maintain and update export control databases, records, and case files. • Support the review and improvement of export control documentation, including Export Control Notices, Letters of Assurance, and internal compliance forms. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of export control procedures, templates, guidance documents, and work instructions. • Monitor developments in export control and international sanctions regulations and summarize relevant updates for the team. • Provide administrative and operational support to ensure the effective functioning of the Export Control department. • Support the review and follow-up of export control requests submitted by European affiliates. • Assist in preparing and organizing export control training materials and awareness initiatives. • Support the collection, reporting, and analysis of export control KPIs and compliance metrics. Candidate Profile • Bachelor's or Master's degree student, or recent graduate, in Law, Political Science, International Relations, Business Administration, Economics, Compliance, or a related field. • Strong interest in export controls, international sanctions, trade compliance, international trade, or regulatory affairs. • Excellent attention to detail and strong ability to analyze and review documentation accurately. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. • Proactive, reliable, organized, and eager to learn, with a strong sense of responsibility. • Excellent written and spoken English; additional European languages are considered an asset. • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
