About this role
As a truck mechanic, you are key to ensuring our fleet runs smoothly. You carry out thorough diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on DAF trucks. You view electrical issues as challenges and are comfortable reading electrical wiring diagrams. You test wiring harnesses, electrical systems, and control units, and communicate clearly with customers and manufacturers about the work performed. A typical day starts with a team meeting. Then, you work independently or with colleagues in our fully equipped workshop. You use the latest diagnostic equipment, keep up with the newest technical updates from the manufacturer, and coordinate with other mechanics when needed. You have a high school diploma (A3/A2) in automotive mechanics or equivalent through experience. A professional or academic bachelor’s degree in automotive technology is a plus. You have at least 2 years of relevant experience in the automotive sector. Basic knowledge of electronics is required. You speak and understand Dutch fluently; knowledge of English is an asset. You are motivated, practical, and able to work independently. Leadership skills are a plus. A C(E) driver's license is an advantage but not required.
