About this role
As a maintenance mechanic for trucks, you are responsible for the technical maintenance of trailers. You make sure that everything is ready for inspection and carry out interventions where needed. You replace brakes, shock absorbers and other worn parts. Welding work on trailers is also part of your job. On a typical day, you start by checking trailers scheduled for inspection. You perform planned maintenance and repair defective parts. You assemble and disassemble components, work independently on repairs and coordinate with colleagues when necessary. If you have knowledge of hydraulics or electricity, that's a plus, but not a must. Communication with colleagues and, if needed, customers is in Dutch, French, English or German.
