• Operate and monitor drilling equipment to ensure safe and efficient drilling operations. • Supervise and direct Floorhands, Derrickhands, and Assistant Drillers during assigned shifts. • Ensure well control equipment is properly maintained and operational. • Monitor drilling parameters and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance. • Conduct pre-tour meetings and safety briefings with rig crews. • Ensure compliance with H&P HSE policies, procedures, and industry regulations. • Identify and mitigate operational risks to prevent incidents and non-productive time. • Maintain accurate drilling reports, tour sheets, and operational records. • Coordinate with Toolpushers, Rig Managers, and customer representatives to achieve drilling objectives. • Assist in emergency response situations and well control events as required. • Ensure proper maintenance and housekeeping of the rig floor and drilling equipment. Qualifications & Experience Required
• High School Diploma or equivalent. • Minimum 5-10 years of drilling rig experience with progressive responsibility. • Previous experience as an Assistant Driller or Driller on land drilling rigs. • Valid IWCF or IADC Well Control Certification. • Strong knowledge of drilling operations, rig equipment, and well control principles. • Ability to lead and supervise multicultural rig crews. • Strong understanding of HSE standards and safe work practices. Preferred
• Experience operating AC electric or advanced land rigs. • Knowledge of automated drilling systems and rig technology. • Previous experience working in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East. Competencies
