About this role
*Sibwest Building Restoration* is looking for experienced and reliable *Restoration Technicians* to join our team and work on a construction project in *Hamilton, Ontario*.
The primary focus of this position is *concrete restoration, expansion joint restoration, and concrete chipping*. The successful candidate will work as part of a restoration crew and perform a variety of concrete repair and surface preparation tasks while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
* Perform concrete restoration and repair of damaged concrete structures. * Perform *expansion joint restoration and repairs*. * Perform *concrete chipping*, including removal of damaged, deteriorated, or unsound concrete. * Prepare concrete surfaces for restoration and repair. * Perform grinding, patching, forming, and other concrete repair activities as required. * Operate hand tools, power tools, chipping hammers, grinders, and other construction equipment. * Follow project specifications, drawings, and instructions from the Foreman or Site Supervisor. * Maintain a clean and organized work area. * Follow all company and site-specific health and safety requirements. * Work effectively as part of a restoration crew.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Minimum *1 year of experience in concrete restoration, concrete repair, or a related construction trade*. * Previous experience with *concrete chipping and expansion joint restoration* is considered a strong asset. * Ability to safely operate hand and power tools. * Ability to perform physically demanding work and work outdoors in various weather conditions. * Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. * *Working at Heights and WHMIS certificates* are required. * *Valid G Driver?s Licence and reliable personal vehicle are required *if you live outside Hamilton area. * Previous experience working on commercial, high-rise, or large-scale construction projects is an asset.
