About the role.McCain Foods (Canada) is seeking General Labourers to join our Prepared Foods facility in Florenceville-Bristol, New Brunswick. This role is responsible for supporting production operations, food safety, quality, sanitation, and equipment performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Please note that this is a physically demanding position requiring 12-hour rotating shifts, Monday through Friday, with two weeks on days followed by two weeks on nights. Successful candidates will participate in a 90-day training program. What you'll be doing.Follow all safety requirements, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and safe work practices while actively participating in the STEP behavioral safety program.Interpret mixing formulas and accurately weigh, mix, and blend ingredients according to established recipes.Complete cleaning and sanitation activities while maintaining a clean and organized work area.Identify and report product quality concerns and support food safety standards.Operate equipment associated with assigned production areas.Accurately document ingredient codes, temperatures, and finished product tracking information.Manage ingredient timing and production schedules to support efficient shift completion and changeovers.Follow all changeover procedures and production requirements.Troubleshoot, adjust, and support equipment performance as required.Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Critical Control Point (CCP) requirements.Support SQCDPE performance goals through KPI awareness and continuous improvement.Share information and provide support to team members while acting as a Key Area Resource when required. What you'll need to be successful.Grade 12 education or GED required.Ability to work rotating shifts, including day and night schedules.Previous manufacturing or food production experience is considered an asset.Basic computer skills and knowledge of computer operations are an asset.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to walk, stand, bend regularly, and continuously lift approximately 35 to 40 pounds.Ability to learn and perform a variety of jobs throughout the plant.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond calmly to unexpected situations.Good mathematical aptitude and the ability to accurately complete production documentation.Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing operational requirements.
