About this role
Roles & responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* Set-up and operate manual Lathe machines, milling machines, bore mills, drill presses, punch press * Use of acetylene torches * Use of vertical and horizontal hydraulic presses * Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner * Reads drawings * Uses gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements * Uses precision tools, machinery and equipment such as vertical milling machine and a variety of cutting tools and equipment. * Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials into machines. * Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling * Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment
Candidates Must have extensive experience in all of the following:
* manual lathes * manual milling * bore milling * punch press * hydraulic presses * measuring instruments
Candidate must have the following abilities:
* Ability to lift 50 lbs * Stand for long periods of time * This role is for 30 hours per week
Police check & medical evaluation may be required
Hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday.
