*About the Role*
King Cole is looking for an experienced, dependable Event Bartender to help us deliver polished and memorable bar service at weddings, corporate functions, private parties, and other special events.
Unlike a traditional restaurant or lounge position, this is a mobile, event-based role. You?ll be responsible for more than serving drinks?you may also transport bar materials, prepare the event bar, keep service running smoothly, and assist with teardown at the end of the event.
We?re looking for someone who is friendly, professional, organized, and comfortable working independently and as part of an event team.
Important Location and Transportation Requirements
A valid driver?s licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required for this position.
*Shifts will begin and end at one of the following locations:*
* King Cole, 19 Watt Street, Unit 2, Winnipeg * Buffalo Crossing at FortWhyte Alive, 2505 McGillivray Boulevard, Winnipeg
When a shift begins at 19 Watt Street, the event may take place outside Winnipeg. You will be required to transport bar equipment and materials to the venue, assist with setup, and return the materials following teardown at the end of the event.
Applicants must be comfortable driving outside the city and safely transporting event supplies in their own vehicle.
*Responsibilities*
* Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently * Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to event guests * Transport bar equipment, beverages, glassware, and other event materials when required * Set up the bar before an event and complete teardown afterward * Keep the bar area clean, organized, stocked, and presentable throughout service * Process guest transactions using a point-of-sale system, such as Square, when applicable * Monitor guests? alcohol consumption and follow all responsible-service requirements * Follow food-safety, alcohol-service, and workplace-safety procedures * Restock supplies during events to maintain an efficient service flow * Communicate effectively with event staff, venue teams, and fellow bartenders * Help ensure King Cole?s service standards are maintained from arrival through final teardown
*Qualifications*
* Previous bartending, banquet, catering, restaurant, or event-service experience * Valid driver?s licence and access to a reliable vehicle * Ability and willingness to drive to event venues, including locations outside Winnipeg * Ability to transport, load, unload, set up, and tear down bar materials * Strong customer-service and communication skills * Professional, positive, and composed under pressure * Dependable and punctual, with the ability to follow event timelines * Able to multitask and stay organized in a busy event environment * Comfortable handling payments and using a POS system such as Square * Basic math skills for cash handling and bill settlement * Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and food-safety practices * A collaborative attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed
