Construction General LabourerOverview
We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated *full-time Construction General Labourer* to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will work alongside skilled carpenters and other tradespeople, assisting with construction, renovation, demolition, and general labour projects. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working with tools, learning new skills, and contributing to a team.
Responsibilities
* Assist carpentry staff with construction, repairs, and renovation projects * Support skilled carpenters with day-to-day tasks and project work * Assist with demolition and preparation of work areas * Perform basic carpentry tasks and minor repairs under direction * Move, organize, and prepare materials, tools, and equipment * Assist with site setup and cleanup * Operate basic hand and power tools as required * Assist with painting and other finishing work * Perform general cleaning and debris removal * Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas * Follow workplace health and safety procedures * Report hazards or unsafe conditions when identified * Perform other general labour duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
* Previous experience in construction, carpentry, home renovation, or general labour is preferred * Experience with basic hand and power tools is an asset * Willingness to learn new skills and assist skilled tradespeople * Ability to follow instructions and work safely and efficiently * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail * Physically able to perform general labour duties, including lifting and moving materials * Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle * Basic set of tools suitable for general construction work * Basic computer and smartphone skills for communication and work-related tasks * Technical trade certification or training is considered an asset * Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule, as required
