The Aquatics Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, direction and oversight of the day-to-day operation of the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre (LCLC) Aquatic Facility. The Aquatics Manager ensures the success of aquatics programs while ensuring operational effectiveness and safety of the facility. They are collaborative in their approach and bring a solution-focused mindset to the role. The Manager will be an approachable and accountable leader who can build positive relationships with staff, set clear expectations, recognize and develop employee potential and ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.About YouYou are a motivated and approachable leader with a passion for aquatics, recreation, and community service. With strong communication and problem-solving skills, you build positive relationships with staff, participants, and community partners.ResponsibilitiesProvide strong, visible leadership to the aquatics team and foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.Lead all aspects of aquatic staff management, including recruitment, onboarding, training, supervision, and performance evaluation, with a particular focus on supporting young and first-time employees.Oversee staff scheduling, attendance tracking, and timesheet administration to ensure safe staffing coverage, operational effectiveness, and accurate employee records.Monitor aquatic program revenues, expenditures, participation levels, and cost recovery, making recommendations regarding budgets, program fees, and equipment purchases to support operational objectives and organizational priorities.Work collaboratively with the General Manager and other departments to support the overall operation and success of the facility.Oversee the planning, implementation, promotion, and evaluation of aquatic programs and services to ensure a high standard of services and participant experience.Oversee aquatic leadership programs and support the development of future lifeguards, instructors, and aquatic leaders.Monitor program participation and feedback and identify opportunities to improve program quality and community engagement.Support the development and implementation of new aquatic programs and initiatives.Oversee the daily operation of the aquatic facility, including the lap pool, play pool, and therapy pool, deck areas, and change rooms.Ensure lifeguarding, supervision, emergency response, and facility procedures are consistently followed.Ensure the aquatic facility is clean, safe, functional, welcoming, and maintained to established organizational and regulatory standards.Ensure water quality and pool chemistry are maintained through testing, chemical monitoring, record keeping, and corrective actio
