Defend is a Saskatchewan-owned and 100% Métis-owned environmental services company based in Saskatoon, on Treaty 6 Territory and the Homeland of the Métis, within Métis Nation?Saskatchewan Western Region 2A. We provide hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, environmental services, remediation, industrial services, and spill response.

*The Position*
We are looking for an organized, dependable and proactive Office Administrator to help keep our office organized, connected and on track. The Office Administrator will interact with clients, support our facility and business operations teams, and coordinate effectively with team members working on-site, in field, and remotely.
This is a varied position suited to a technology savvy individual who can stay organized, adapt to a dynamic environment, and prioritize a variety of tasks efficiently. As a small but growing family-owned business, the scope of the position is bound to evolve with time. We are looking for someone who is adaptable, willing to learn and comfortable taking ownership of their work.

*Key Responsibilities*
- Coordinate office calendars, registrations, deadlines, meetings, recurring reminders, and prepare a weekly briefing for the teams
-Communicate professionally with clients, vendors and external organisations
* Email and phone correspondence * Reception * Verbal communications * Digital and social content drafting * Client and vendor administration * Document control and filing * Data entry * Complete routine financial and WCB administration

*Qualifications & Competencies*

* At least one year of experience in office administration, administrative coordination, bookkeeping support or a role with transferable skills * Previous experience in environmental services, construction, transportation, industrial services or another regulated industry is an asset * Certificate or diploma in office administration, business administration, bookkeeping or a related field is an asset but not required * Strong organisational and time-management abilities * Comfortable managing multiple tasks, deadlines and follow-up items * Strong professional written and verbal communication skills in English * Ability to utilise available technological tools and company-specific software * o Microsoft 365 * o QuickBooks Online * o Social media * o Approved AI tools * Ability to work independently and ask questions when clarification is required
