This is a non-exhaustive list of duties associated with the position and may vary depending on Division:1. Exercises Ministerial delegation of authority under the Aeronautics Act and the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and manages the oversight of Ministerial delegation granted to enterprises, organizations and individuals within the service areas.2. Manages the provision of specialized engineering expertise to support the evolution of the regulatory framework by the Standards Branch by participating in international and domestic committees and working groups, and by providing leadership and direction for the evolution of policies and processes governing the approval or continuing airworthiness of aeronautical products. 3. As a subject matter expert in airworthiness of aeronautical products, leads professional engineering staff conducting oversight of approved organizations including DARs, DAOs, AEOs, aircraft owners, operators, certificate holders, and foreign airwort
