We are looking for a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented *Accounting Technician & Invoicing professional* to join our growing transportation company in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
This position is responsible for a combination of *daily accounting, bookkeeping, customer invoicing, accounts receivable, expense tracking, reconciliations, and transportation billing activities*. The ideal candidate will have experience in full cycle accounting, billing and invoicing.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, review, and process customer invoices accurately and on time. * Verify freight rates, fuel surcharges, accessorial charges, and supporting transportation documentation. Ensure invoices are prepared in accordance with customer contracts and rate agreements. * Reconcile invoicing discrepancies and resolve billing issues with customers and internal departments. * Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities. * Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. * Enter and maintain accurate financial transactions in the accounting system. * Process and verify vendor invoices and expenses. * Perform bank, credit card, fuel card, and other account reconciliations. * Assist with general ledger maintenance and month-end accounting procedures. * Track and record transportation-related expenses, including fuel, repairs, maintenance, tolls, and other operating costs. * Assist with payroll-related accounting and maintain accurate payroll records. * Reconcile customer and vendor accounts. * Assist with preparing financial reports and expense analysis. * Monitor accounting records to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy. * Maintain organized and confidential financial documentation. * Assist management with budgeting, reporting, and other accounting tasks as required.
Qualifications
* Minimum *3 years of accounting and billing experience*, with *at least 2 years in the truck transportation, logistics, or freight industry*. * Diploma or degree in *Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, Transportation & Logistics, or a related field*. * Strong knowledge of freight billing, transportation documentation, customer contracts, and rate structures. * Experience working with TransPlus(TP), QuickBooks Desktop, and Microsoft Excel. * Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Strong communication and customer service skills. * Bilingual (English and French) is an asset.
