Be part of something special?an opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful places on Earth while contributing to the future of water and wastewater services.The responsibility of this position is the delivery of capital projects involving water capital projects, including water treatment, supply and distribution and wastewater capital projects, including wastewater collection, transmission, treatment and disposal.This position provides leadership and management oversight to a diverse team with a focus on ensuring client needs are met as well as ensuring collaboration and cooperation.The focus of this position is water capital projects with support to wastewater projects.Key Accountabilities/Position Outcomes Provides leadership, strategic direction and support for Infrastructure & Water Capital Projects, including leading and supervising the work of technical and professional staff. Ensures policies, structures, systems, resources and management practices are in place and effectively support objectives and initiatives. Assists with the preparation of Divisional capital budgets, oversight, tracking and controlling budget for areas of responsibility. Ensures Capital Projects are defined and completed with a commitment to project deliverables and organizational objectives as well as an ongoing commitment to project management principles. Uses diplomacy, tact and strong written/verbal communication, presentation and relationship building skills to maintain strong relationships with internal and external partner and stakeholders. Uses leadership, coaching, and employee development practices to create a highly engaged team of professionals and staff with the knowledge, skills and abilities to be successful in their current role and future career development. Responsible for the leadership and management of employees and contractors within area of responsibility, including employment and labour relations matters involving: employee hiring, promotion, demotion and other personnel matters; discipline and discharge; representing management in the grievance procedure; input on behalf of management into labour relations matters, and representing management on committees; maintaining Employer confidentiality; and developing, supporting and implementing various corpor
