Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry. Tasks: Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders. Prescribe medication and treatment . Treat diseases and physiological disorders . Act as consultants to other physicians. Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination. Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. Specialization in clinical medicine: Internal medicine. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
