Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Determine type of glass, frames and material required. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Measure, mark and cut glass. Position and secure panes in frame. Prepare tenders and quotations. Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products. Install door, window and other hardware. Prepare shop drawings. Repair glass doors and other glass structures. Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment. Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages. Work from man-lift mobile equipment, cranes and other lifting equipment. Installation specialization: Aluminum storefronts, barrel vaults, solariums, commercial window systems. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Health benefits: Health care plan.
