About this role
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Physician's office. Hospital/medical facility or clinic. Medical clinic. Tasks: Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up and assembling of medical equipment. Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment. Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse. Deliver messages, reports, requisitions and specimens between departments. Make beds and maintain patients' rooms. Maintain inventory of supplies. Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher. Administer first aid in emergency situations. Schedule and confirm appointments. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Log patient samples and prepare them for testing. Greet customers. Record vital signs. Monitor patients and advise physician of any changes in patients' condition. Take vital signs. Assist health care practitioners during examinations or treatments .
