Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. Tree and orchard fruit. Tasks: Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality. Weeding. Maintain farm machinery, equipment and buildings. Manage overall operation of farm. Perform general farm duties. Maintain quality control and production records. Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Tie and secure plants. Organize tasks to accomplish the work. Supervision: More than 20 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Chemical application certificate or licence. First Aid Certificate. Type of crops: Apples. Equipment and machinery experience: Automated irrigation system. Fertilizer applicator. Sprayer or duster. Tractor. Vegetable or fruit harvester. Forklift.
