Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Work setting: On-site customer service. Commercial. Tasks: Install coals and wood heating systems . Repair coals and wood heating systems . Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning oil burners, and their components and controls. Lay out oil burner heating system components and assemble components using hand and power tools. Test installed unit and adjust controls for proper functioning. Perform scheduled maintenance and service. Install oil burner components and connect to fuel supply, ventilation and electrical system. Instruct apprentices. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Oil Burner Mechanic (Residential) Trade Certification.
