Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Develop and conduct production, inventory and quality assurance programs. Design plant layouts and production facilities. Conduct work measurement or other studies. Develop and carry out health, safety and fire prevention plans. Conduct safety training programs. Collect and analyze data and samples. Develop manufacturing and processing procedures. Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports. Computer and technology knowledge: Computer-aided design (CAD). AutoCAD. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Transportation/travel information: Travel expenses paid by employer.
