Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Diagnose livestock health issues. Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses. Handling animals. Marking livestock as proof of ownership. Monitoring animal health. Perform livestock feeding. Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration. Treat livestock health issues. Feed and tend animals. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain quality control and production records. Maintain work records and logs. Automated systems experience: Automated environmental control equipment. Area of specialization: Agricultural livestock service. Swine.
